Our R&D efforts center on structural health monitoring (SHM) of composite materials. Detecting early-stage damage—such as cracks, delamination, and adhesive de-bonding—is key to improving reliability and safety in composites.
We are actively working on:

High-spatial-resolution distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) with the precision needed to capture acoustic events caused by early damage in composite materials. (Our current project is dedicated to this field.)

High-spatial-resolution strain gauges and temperature sensors specifically developed for SHM applications.
